ESPN covers The Open Championship from Turnberry in Ayrshire, Scotland on ABC with live third and final round coverage on Saturday, July 18, 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM ET and Sunday, July 19, 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM ET. ABC will also present SportsCenter at the Open Championship late-night highlight shows on Thursday and Friday rounds from 1:05-1:35 AM and Saturday and Sunday from 2-3:00 PM PT.

I’m a Tom Watson fan but I watch the open championship to see the golf being played. In the first half hour all I saw was interviews, watching Tom Watson on the practice range, comparison of his swing now and then. etc. Show more golf and if you have to do these other things, there is always split screen which is not a new concept. Check with NASCAR, they know how to use it….
