Comcast’s regional cable network covering Northern and Central California ‘Comcast Hometown Network’ has announced that it will broadcast ten high school football games available on Channel 104 to all Comcast digital cable customers throughout Northern and Central California.

Comcast Hometown Network will begin its broadcast on Saturday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. with Casa Grande of Petaluma hosting Montgomery of Santa Rosa.

The play-by-play announcer for Comcast Hometown Network’s high school football games will be Dan Dibley of sports radio station KNBR 680 AM, while former San Jose SaberCats head Coach Darren Arbet and University of Nevada football analyst Scott Gordon will split the color analyst duties. Sarah Curry from the Fitz and Brooks Show on KNBR 680 AM will serve as sideline reporter. All games will be produced by CHN sports director Erik Alves and directed by Gary Wasley.

Jeff Giles, Director of Comcast Hometown Network said “Northern California prep football continues to be electric, and we continue to provide it to viewers and further solidify Comcast Hometown Network as the television home for high school sports. These exciting, marquee contests remain a key component of our local and regional programming that viewers can’t get anywhere else.”

The prep contests will premiere on Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. on Comcast Hometown Network Channel 104, and will be replayed several times. They will also be available at the Comcast SportsNet California and California Interscholastic Foundation (CIF) State websites. In addition, all games will also be available any time of the day or night via Comcast’s popular ON DEMAND platform, which is free to Comcast digital customers. To view Comcast Hometown Network games ON DEMAND, Comcast Digital Cable customers can tune to Channel 1 on their Digital Cable lineup or press the ON DEMAND button on their remote control, then click on the “Get Local” section, then click on “Local Sports.”

In addition to Casa Grande and Montgomery, CHN’s high school football schedule features many of the top prep teams in Northern and Central California, including prominent Bay Area powers Bellarmine (#3 Central Coast Section Rankings), Valley Christian (#4 Central Coast Section), Foothill (#10 North Coast Section), and Granada (#25 North Coast Section); as well as traditionally strong teams such as Folsom (#5 State Ranking and #1 Sac-Joaquin Section) and Pleasant Grove (#14 Sac-Joaquin Section) from the Sacramento region plus Buchanan (#6 Central Section) and Clovis East (#13 Central Section) from the Fresno area.

Comcast Hometown Network has quickly become one of the top destinations for local sports coverage. The network continues to produce and televise LIVE Friday night minor league baseball games from the Class A Advanced California League, featuring the San Jose Giants, Stockton Ports, Modesto Nuts or Visalia Rawhide. In addition, CHN also televises key high school basketball games featuring prominent prep programs throughout Northern and Central California in January and February.
