AT&T has launched U-verse services in parts of Pensacola and Mobile on August 31. AT&T U-verse services include AT&T U-verse TV, AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet and AT&T U-verse Voice delivered over AT&T’s advanced Internet Protocol network. AT&T claims that it offers unmatched services that will be a new alternative for cable in Mobile and Pensacola.
The Mobile City Council approved a franchise agreement in August allowed AT&T to launch U-verse. AT&T U-verse will deliver television programming, broadband, home phone and wireless services, all in a bundle with unique features that provide a new level of integration, convenience and control. AT&T has recently landed its services in Louisville.
Bonnie Denson, general manager, Consumer Markets – Gulf States said, “Cable has been the only game in town for too long, and we’re excited to change that today in Mobile. We know customers want a better choice to break free from cable, and AT&T U-verse is the answer. And we’re taking it even further by making your services work together and offering cool, new features you can’t get anywhere else.”
Fred McCallum, president, AT&T Alabama, “Today’s launch of AT&T U-verse reflects our commitment to making the investments necessary to bring consumers across the Baton Rouge area a new era of true video competition. We are thrilled to offer this innovative video choice to Mobile consumers. Local residents have asked for more choices in television service and today we’re delivering.”
