Comcast adds 9 HD channels in Sacramento, California area

Cable operators and Satellite TV provider are adding new high-definition channels in different market areas after the aggressive HD expansion by DirecTV, Comcast is also adding Nine new high-definition channels in Sacramento, California area.

This is according to news from www.sacbee.com

To accommodate new high-definition channels to its line-up in this area, Comcast has moved the public service California Channel from analog to digital channel. This will not make their customer to go for an upgrade, but it will require digital set-top to view the channel. The new channels will be on Comcast HD line-up for Sacramento area subscribers from Monday and the channels are:-
ABC FAMILY

DISCOVERY CHANNEL

DISCOVERY SCIENCE

DISNEY CHANNEL

FOOD NETWORK

HGTV

SCI-FI

TLC and

USA

Apart from ABC Family, Discovery Science and Disney, other Six Channels will be added on Monday and these Three channels will be launched on April 8.
