Comcast adds Science HD, Disney HD and ABC Family HD in Jacksonville, FL

Comcast is going for aggressive HD expansion and expected to deliver more high-definition channels in many market areas. The new HD channels are added to stay in competition with DirecTV, which is almost reaching 100 national HD channels.

Comcast has added Science HD, Disney HD and ABC Family HD in their high-definition line-up in Jacksonville, FL. Recently Comcast has added these channels in Atlanta. Comcast is also planning to offer more than 1,000 HD movies and TV shows available on its video-on-demand services in all markets.
