Comcast customers of Knoxville, Tenn. have to thank DIRECTV as Comcast have started offering high-definition channels for the residents of Knoxville, Tenn following DIRECTV. DIRECTV delivered Local HD programming in Knoxville, Tenn. designated market area lastweek, Comcast reacted immediately and delivering Four HD channels with immediate effect. The new channels launched are Animal Planet HD, Discovery Channel HD, History Channel HD and Sci-Fi HD. These channel addition will take Comcast’s Knoxville HD options to 30.
