Comcast Launches 100th Movie On Demand Same Day As DVD Release

Comcast announced that it will present its 100th day-and-date DVD movie of the year with (500) Days of Summer to it’s On Demand subscribers starting December 22.

Comcast also brings seven other blockbuster movies in HD delivered in December, the moment they are released on DVD.

Comcast’s same-day-as-DVD releases this month include:

  • Terminator Salvation – 12/01
  • Julie & Julia – 12/08
  • Taking Woodstock – 12/15
  • (500) Days of Summer – 12/22
  • All About Steve – 12/22
  • Jennifer’s Body – 12/29
  • A Perfect Getaway – 12/29
  • 9 (12/29)

Comcast’s other blockbusters available in December – all in HD – include:

  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  • Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
  • Star Trek (2009)
  • The Hangover
  • Up

We pioneered day-and-date, so we’re thrilled that our studio partners were able to nearly triple our day-and-date movie offering in favor of our customers.”
