Comcast Launches 50 Mbps High-Speed Internet Service in Colorado

Comcast has launched 50 Mbps high-speed internet service to its subscribers in Colorado at no additional cost. Comcast internet speed upgrade started in the Denver Metro area with the launch of next-generation DOCSIS 3.0 and this new service will be rolled out to residential homes and businesses throughout most of the communities that Comcast serves in Colorado, from Pueblo to Fort Collins and in most of the Mountain communities along the I-70 corridor.

Comcast’s high-speed internet service New Residential Tiers:

Extreme 50 – offers up to 50 Mbps of downstream speed and up to 10 Mbps of upstream speed.

Ultra – offers up to 22 Mbps of downstream speed and up to 5 Mbps of upstream speed.

Apart from the above two packages, Comcast is also increasing speeds for most of its existing customers.

Performance Plus – Subscribers will be upgraded to Comcast’s Blast tier, which will double their download speeds to up to 16 Mbps and provide up to 2 Mbps of upload speed.

Performance tier – Subscribers will benefit from doubled downstream and upstream speeds, offering up to 12 Mbps and 2 Mbps, respectively.

Scott Binder, senior vice president of Comcast’s Colorado Region, said: “Wideband utilizes our existing advanced fiber-optic network in neighborhoods and business parks across our footprint. With this next generation service, our customers’ online experience is dramatically enhanced. This new service will enable us to continue to offer our customers even faster speeds and an entirely new realm of Internet innovation.”
