Comcast Launches Outdoor Channel On Digital Preferred Tier in Houston, Texas On August 17

Comcast has announced that it will launch Outdoor Channel on Digital Preferred tier in Houston, Texas, effective August 17. Outdoor Channel is already available on Comcast’s Sports Tier in Houston.

Outdoor Channel is currently broadcasting its third quarter show schedule as part of its “Biggest Summer Ever” initiative, which boasts 13 brand new original shows, 71 season premieres of returning favorites, the biggest industry talent, the boldest outdoor producers and a powerful slate of celebrated entertainers.

Outdoor Channel recently acquired several new fishing shows set to debut in 2011:

  • Buccaneers and Bones
  • Fishing University
  • Madfin Shark Series
  • Spanish Fly and
  • Zona!

Tom Hornish, COO at Outdoor Channel said “Outdoor enthusiasts rely on Outdoor Channel to provide the most compelling, highest quality programming on television. Now, more viewers in Houston will have a chance to experience what makes us the leading outdoor programmer in the country.”
