Comcast Launches Six New HD Channels in New Jersey Area

Comcast has announced that it has launched six new high-definition channels to its programming lineup in New Jersey area. Comcast has been expanding its HD channel lineup with the launch of 23 HD Channels in Knoxville recently and also has announced that 51 HD Channels will be coming to San Francisco Bay Area subscribers in August.

Comcast’s southern New Jersey area launch of HD channels includes the city of Camden, Mount Laurel, Cherry Hill, Pennsauken and other surrounding areas, as well as Fort Dix and McGuire Air Force Base. Following new HD channels are available to south New Jersey area subscribers:

AMC HD – Channel 238

Animal Planet HD – Channel 230

CNN HD – Channel 221

Discovery Channel HD – Channel 224

The History Channel HD – Channel 217 and

USA HD – Channel 222

Amy Smith, regional senior vice president of Comcast’s Freedom Region serving the Philadelphia Metro area and New Jersey said “Our customers have asked for more HD and that’s exactly what we’re delivering, through our ‘World of More’ digital service upgrade, we’ll continue to bring customers additional HD choices including more than 100 of the very best HD channels.”
