Comcast has announced that the cable operator broadcasts all four of this fall’s presidential and vice presidential debates through On Demand for its digital cable customers in New England.

Comcast has signed a partnership with WGBH Boston to broadcast the coverage and subscribers will be presented On Demand at no extra cost. The cable operator started with Friday night coverage from Oxford, Mississippi and will stay up through Election Day. Comcast digital cable subscribers have to select “Get Local” from the On Demand library, then “Local Networks,” then “WGBH” and “Vote ’08.”

Paul D’Arcangelo, Vice President of Comcast’s Metro Boston Region “These debates are central to our country’s process for choosing our next president and vice president, We’re happy to make all of this year’s presidential and vice presidential debates available On Demand, making it easier for our customers with digital cable to watch the candidates in this historic contest go head to head at their convenience, with the ability to pause, fast-forward and rewind.”
