Comcast subscribers in Indiana have an option to view incoming caller information on their TV and computer screens with the launch of the Universal Caller ID service. Comcast has already delivered this service to Oregon, SW Washington, Michigan, San Francisco Bay Area and Monterey-Salinas subscribers.

Comcast’s Universal Caller ID service available at no additional cost to Triple Play of digital cable, high-speed Internet and digital voice services in Indiana delivers more control and convenience than ever before, while watching a movie or surfing the Internet, Triple Play customers can now see who is calling and decide to answer the phone or ignore the call without having to rush to the handset.

The Universal Caller ID feature displays the caller’s name and phone number on a pop-up banner on the TV or computer screen, and the customer can answer the phone or select “exit” and go back to their favorite TV show or online activity when a call comes.

Scott Tenney, Senior Vice President of Comcast in Indiana said, “The Universal Caller ID service is exciting because it’s one of the first cross-platform products that integrates phone, TV and the PC, and it provides customers with more choice in their entertainment experience. This innovative new feature is just one more way we’re providing even more value to our customers at no extra cost.”
