After Comcast’s launched TiVo service last year, Cox communications also about to launch the service in New England Area. Tom Rogers, TiVo president and CEO during a conference call last week said that Cox is trying the TiVo service and will launch the service very soon.
Tom Rogers also stated that Comcast has started marketing TiVo based DVR service in the New England market area and its being offered to 1.6 million subscribers.
“As Cox is also going for the TiVo service the distribution strategy is making significant in-roads, effectively unleashing the power of TiVo beyond the confines of a dedicated hardware consumer electronic business,”Rogers said.
