Cox Communications has announced the launch of a special sneak preview of 19 new On Demand channels in high definition and a standard definition channel in San Diego, California from November 24. These new channels will officially be launched on Dec. 8. Cox claims that it offers 67 high-definition channels to its subscribers in San Diego Market area.
Cox had only ten HD channels to start the year 2008 and launched 37 new HD channels and now more HD channels are coming to San Diego subscribers.
Time Warner recently added two HD channels and other operators are also flooding with HD channels and consumers in San Diego now have more choices to choose. Following are the HD channels lined up apart from The Opera Channel in standard definition.

AMC HD – Channel 857
Cinemax HD – Channel 881
Dew Action Sports HD – Channel 807
FearNet HD – Channel 806
Fuse HD – Channel 808
Gospel Music HD – Channel 812
History Channel HD – Channel 855
MOJO HD – Channel 809
MTV HD – Channel 830
Music Choice HD – Channel 805
Palladia HD – Channel 832
Showtime HD – Channel 882
Speed HD – Channel 856
Spike HD – Channel 845
Starz HD – Channel 883
Sundance HD – Channel 810
Travel Channel HD – Channel 860 and
VH1 HD – Channel 846
Cox also said in a press release that it offers more than 400 choices of the most popular high definition programming and also on demand titles including hit movies and free on demand.
