ESPN play-by-play commentator Dan Shulman has been named the National Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA).
He will be honored, along with the other recipients, at the 53rd annual NSSA Awards Banquet on June 11, in Salisbury, N.C.
Shulman provides commentary for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, Saturday Primetime college basketball and NBA games.
In addition, SportsCenter anchor Lindsay Czarniak, who joined ESPN in 2011, will be honored as the top sportscaster in the Washington, D.C., area.
