DirecTV has announced that the satcaster has extended the agreement with TiVo to develop, market and distribute a new HD DIRECTV DVR which will feature TiVo service. TiVo will join hands with DirecTV to develop a new version of DIRECTV’s broadband-enabled HD DVR platform.
The new HD DVR is expected to be launched in second quarter of 2009 will feature DirecTV services and also include TiVo’s Universal Swivel Search and TiVo KidZone. HD DIRECTV DVR will be available to existing DirecTV subscribers and also for new customers.
