DIRECTV blesses with local HD programming for four market areas
One of the leading satellite TV providers in the country DIRECTV has added local high-definition channels in four market areas. DIRECTV started adding local hd channels to the cities by the end of 2007. Presently DIRECTV has added local HD programming in following market areas:-
Louisville, Kentucky
WHAS/ABC, WLKY/CBS, WDRB/FOX and WAVE/NBC in HD are the broadcasted network in these areas.
Wichita, Kansas
DIRECTV hopes to add more networks available if and when its ready to broadcast, at present KAKE/ABC,
KWCH/CBS and KSAS/FOX are available in high-definition. NBC might be added very soon.
Paducah, Kentucky
High-definition broadcast of these KFVS/CBS, WPSD/NBC, KBSI/FOX and WSIL/ABC are available at present.
Cedar Rapids-Waterloo, Iowa
DIRECTV presently beams WHAS/ABC, WLKY/CBS, WDRB/FOX and WAVE/NBC networks in HD.
