DirecTV has announced the launch of a new, exclusive 24-hour Chinese channel, Charming China on International programming package on Feb. 12.
Charming China delivers the most popular and new Mandarin entertainment programs from nine popular provincial channels in China.

DirecTV’s Charming China launch on MandarinDirect III programming package on channel 2055 will deliver favorite programming produced by Hunan TV, Beijing TV, Jiangsu TV and other top-rated Chinese TV station.
- Backstage Story – Hunan TV deliver an affecting celebrity talk show designed and produced by senior TV professionals.
- Bravely Forward – Hunan TV is a breathtaking challenge show featuring all big stars and famous faces. The celebrities shown in the program will face the risky challenges they would never have thought of, studio-based or outdoor-style. For example, hugging the lion, water diving, and parachute jumping.
- Day Day Up – Hunan TV is a talk show featuring Chinese traditional etiquettes and proprieties, premiered in August, 2008, on Hunan TV. First idol group of boy hosts ever. It’s a public morality themed talk show.
- Glorious Blooming – Beijing TV is a special celebrity interview in which the celebrities will act their stories on the stage instead of just talking.
- Happy Base Camp – Hunan TV is one of the longest running entertainment variety shows in China. This award winning TV program is hosted by five young, popular hosts, He Jiong, Li Weijia, Xie Na, Du Haitao and Wu Xin, called by Happy Family as a group.
- Stage for Common People – Beijing TV is a stage produced by Beijing TV for common people to show their stories and talents.
- Work on Weekends – Jiangsu TV is hosted by Aya, Li Xiang, Li Chengxuan, Shen Dongjing, the program introduces a new and funny experience in job fields and solves working problems by the experiences of celebrities every week.
