DirecTV Launches Local HD Programming in Charleston, South Carolina

DirecTV recently launched local high-definition channels in six markets and its now time for subscribers in Charleston in South Carolina to get local HD broadcast. The satcaster has announced on Oct. 1 the launch of local HD broadcast in Charleston, S.C. DirecTV subscribers with H20 or H21 HD receiver or an HR20 or HR21 DIRECTV Plus HD DVR and a Ka/Ku band dish will receive following HD stations in HD:
WCIV/ABC
WCSC
/CBS
WCBD
/NBC
WTAT
/FOX and
WMMP
/MNT
DirecTV has added local HD broadcast in 98 cities and have plans to provide in more than 121 cities before the year end. If, DirecTV completes adding HD broadcast in 121 cities, which will represent about 98 percent of U.S. TV households.
