DirecTV Launches Local HD Programming in Dothan, Alabama

DirecTV has launched local high-definition programming to its subscribers in the Dothan, Alabama market area on April 8. The satcaster claims that they offer local HD broadcast channels in 121 cities, representing more than 88 percent of U.S. TV households. Following networks are available in HD:

WDHN/ABC

WTVY/CBS and

WDFX/FOX

DirecTV subscribers must have H20 or H21 HD receiver or an HR20 or HR21 DIRECTV Plus HD DVR and a Ka/Ku band dish to receive this local broadcast channels.
