DirecTV has been expanding its local high-definition broadcast in many cities in recent times and the satcaster has announced that it has added local HD programming to the subscribers in Texas market area. DirecTV has added local HD channels in following cities beginning Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008.
Harlingen
Weslaco
Brownsville and
McAllen
DirecTV claims that it offers local HD broadcast channels in more than 121 cities which represents 88 percent of U.S. TV households. Following are the broadcast networks available:
KGBT/CBS
KVEO/NBC
KRGV/ABC and
XRIO/FOX
Before the year end, DirecTV is planning to deliver local HD channels in more than 121 cities.
