DirecTV, NBA TV Signs Distribution Deal

DirecTV has announced that it has entered a distribution deal with NBA Digital on  April 16. This agreement will allow DirecTV to extend its distribution of NBA TV for the 2009-10 season in standard and high-definition.

NBA TV will be moved from Channel 601 to Channel 216 and will be available to CHOICE XTRA package subscribers. DirecTV will also provide NBA LEAGUE PASS pack with up to 40 out-of-market games to its subscribers.

NBA Deputy Commissioner and COO Adam Silver said “This new agreement will allow millions of additional fans to experience NBA TV’s more than 100 live NBA games and its Emmy award-winning roster of announcers, we appreciate our longtime partner DIRECTV for its commitment to bringing our fans wall to wall NBA coverage.”
