DirecTV reached agreement with Hallmark Channel
The leading satellite television provider DirecTV has renewed the carriage rights of Crown Media Holdings Hallmark Movie Channel and Hallmark Channel for multi-year term. The terms of the deal was not disclosed. This carriage agreement will allow DirecTV to carry standard and high-definition versions of Hallmark Movie Channel.
DirecTV on its press release stated that the sat caster won’t carry The Hallmark Movie Channel’s high-definition version during its launch on April 2. DirecTV already carries Hallmark Channel in its line-up and the agreement will allow high-definition version of the same. Already Crown Media Holdings signed a deal Comcast for a carriage deal during November last year and also with Time Warner Cable last month. The Crown Media Holdings deal with all the Three operators will be able to reach the channel in forty million houses in The U.S.
