DirecTV To Launch GolTV HD in August

DirecTV will launch North Bay Village, Florida based network ‘GoLTV’ in high-definition in August. The network dedicated fully to association soccer GolTV with 80 million international soccer TV fans in the U.S. will be available in HD to DirecTV high-definition subscribers.

GolTV in HD will deliver full simulcast of the GolTV standard definition channel and its programming lineup in 1080i HD, with sound in state-of-the-art Dolby AC3, for a fully immerse viewing experience. Coverage includes live and primetime coverage of Spain’s La Liga, Germany’s Bundesliga, the UEFA Europa League, and Brazil’s Campeonato Paulista and Brasileirão, among others.

GolTV HD will offer more than 250 matches in HD during the first year of launch. GolTV will also present magazine shows that includes:

  • La Liga 360
  • Hallo Bundesliga and
  • Bundesliga Magazine
