Dish Network Launches Local High-Definition Channels in Six Markets

Dish Network has launched local high-definition channels in six more markets and the satcaster offers local high-definition channels in 152 markets, which covers more than 93 percent of U.S. TV household. Dish Networks has added local HD channels in following markets:

WTVC/ABC in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Channel 9

WBNS/CBS in Columbus, Ohio on Channel 10

WICU/NBC in Erie, Pa. on Channel 12

WPEC/CBS in West Palm Beach-Ft. Pierce, Fla. on Channel 12

WTHR/NBC in Indianapolis, Ind. on Channel 13 and

WWMT/CBS in Grand Rapids-Kalamazoo-Battle Creek, Mich. on Channel 3

Dish Network subscribers in the above markets must have an HD receiver who subscribe to HD programming and locals will receive HD feeds of their broadcasts at no extra charge.
