Dish Network has signed an agreement with Racetrack Television Network (RTN) and HorseRacing TV (HRTV) to launch a racing subscription package. The new package will be named as “Racetrack Television Network” and will deliver up to 80 channels. This package will provide following live programming:
Thoroughbred
Quarter horse
Harness and
Greyhound racing
The above racing track will be delivered in a separate channel with Live programming. This package will deliver as many as 700 live races daily. Dish Network will launch both the 80 channel and “Best Of RTN” packages in September, 2009.
Michael Kelly, Executive Vice President of DISH Network said “With the recent running of the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes around the corner, we are all reminded of the popularity of horse racing, we are pleased to be able to offer DISH Network subscribers the most complete package of racing content available in the marketplace.”
