Fox Sports Obtains Three seasons Broadcast Rights of Premier League in United States

Fox Sports announced that it has acquired English Premier League broadcasts rights in USA for three more season through 2012-13. Fox holds the broadcast rights of the Premier League in the U.S. since 1998 and it has granted sublicense to Setanta USA and this season gave rights to 48 matches to ESPN2.

Fox Sports Latin America has obtained rights for the same three seasons for Central and South America Premier League. The Premier League has invited bids for similar rights in the Caribbean and Canada.

David Sternberg executive vice president and general manager of Fox Sports International, said: “”We are delighted to extend our relationship with the Premier League to 2013. Together with our distribution partners across the Americas, we look forward to bringing our viewers another three action-packed seasons of the world’s most prestigious domestic soccer competition.”
