David Hill, Chairman of Fox Sports Networks Inc. has announced that FOX Sports will present The 2010 UEFA Champions League Final in high-definition in May. This is the first ever soccer broadcast, and will join a select few major international soccer championships ever to receive broadcast TV exposure in the United States.
FOX Sports will bring UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday, May 22 at 2:45 PM ET from Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
Hill stated “Simply put, the UEFA Champions League Final is one of international soccer’s most prestigious and competitive events. There’s no doubt that soccer aficionados in the U.S. will welcome the opportunity to see this game live, and we’re excited to work with our colleagues at Fox Sports International to make it available to every household in America via FOX Sports.”
