FSN Detroit signs with local sports teams to take a prominent place in Michigan area

FSN Detroit, which has about 3.2 million customers in Northern Indiana, Northwest Ohio and Michigan area entered a long term deal to deliver local broadcast of three local professional sports teams like Red Wings, Pistons and Detroit Tigers and major of the telecast would be in high-definition programming. The terms of the deal is not disclosed, but the industry sources say that the deal will run for a minimum of ten years and the worth of the deal would run more than a billion dollar.

FSN Detroit will be beaming more than 100 games in high-definition out of 150 regular season Tiger games and about 70 games of NBA Pistons and same number of games of NHL Red Wings. The coverage will focus on the teams schedule, programming, players profile, pre-match and post match analysis. This deal will take the network to prominent place in local sports broadcast and also in Michigan.
