The eigth largest cable company in the United States, Mediacom Communications headquartered in Middletown, NY USA will launch premium entertainment movie channel EPIX in high-definition on April 2010. EPIX is a joint venture formed by Viacom, MGM and Lionsgate in 2009 and Verizon FiOS TV was first to launch the channel in HD in October 2009.
Cox Communications has already reached an agreement to carry EPIX in April and Mediacom will be third operator to carry the premium movie channel.
EPIX will deliver the latest Hollywood movies, 15,000 films from three of the top motion picture libraries, cutting-edge original programming and special comedy and concert events.
