MLB Network has announced it’s live broadcast coverage schedule for August 17-21. Tampa Bay hosting Texas will be picked up on MLB Network on Tuesday, August 17 at 7:00 PM ET.
The AL West first-place Texas Rangers travel to Tropicana Field to take on the AL Wild Card-leading Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday, August 17 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
MLB Network’s Thursday Night Baseball features an AL matchup between the Boston Red Sox, who trail Tampa Bay by 3 ½ games in the AL Wild Card race, and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on August 19 at 7:00 p.m. ET. MLB Network’s Matt Vasgersian and John Smoltz will call the game live from the historic Fenway Park.
Viewers in the Red Sox and Angels markets will see the Philadelphia Phillies face the NL Wild Card-leading San Francisco Giants at 7:00 p.m. ET live from Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park. The Giants currently lead the NL Wild Card race by one game over the Phillies and Cincinnati Reds.
On Friday, August 20 the Giants visit the NL Central first-place St. Louis Cardinals in the first of a three-game series at 8:00 p.m. ET. Viewers in the Giants and Cardinals markets will see Minnesota Twins, who are tied for first place in the AL Central with the Chicago White Sox, host the Angels at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Rounding out the week, the Cardinals will once again take on the Giants on Saturday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Viewers in select markets will see the Toronto Blue Jays at Red Sox at 7:00 p.m. ET.
MLB Tonight, MLB Network’s Emmy Award-winning signature nightly studio show with look-ins at live games, will air live at 6:00 p.m. ET on August 16, 17 and 20 as well as after MLB Matinee on August 19. MLB Tonight, will also air on Wednesday, August 18 at 3:00 p.m. ET and on Sunday, August 22 at 5:30 p.m. ET, followed by Quick Pitch at 8:00 p.m. ET.
