Oceanic Time Warner Cable has launched Chinese language TV channel New Tang Dynasty television on its digital programming pack in Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai and the Big Island.

New Tang Dynasty is a 24/7 programming channel available on channel 698. Time Warner Cable has already launched New Tang Dynasty in New York City in December, 2009.

Samuel Zhou, NTD’s Senior Vice President of public relations and development said “we plan to make our programming more localized by adding local content and more English programming. Our multi-language programming has grown rapidly in the past year. Hawaii is such a culturally diverse place and we’re very happy that Hawaiian viewers can benefit from our growth.”

Alan Pollock, Time Warner Cable Marketing Vice President said “We are thrilled to partner with NTD Television. The unique, quality programming that this partnership provides really does compliment the current Time Warner Cable channel line-up. The addition of NTD Television means even more cultural programming choices to Time Warner Cable customers across Hawaii.”
