Major League Baseball has announced the addition of a series of “Pennant Race” games featuring playoff contenders on TBS and MLB Network. TBS will broadcast Red Sox @ Yankees game as a special Friday night game on September 25.
MLB Network will broadcast a series of games in September featuring teams in contention for the MLB Postseason, which begins October 7 with the Division Series on TBS. The MLB Network games late in September will be determined each week based on the standings and playoff implications at the time.
Tim Brosnan, Executive Vice President, Business, Major League Baseball said, “As the pennant races heat up in September, we are giving our fans around the country more of an opportunity to see games that will go a long way in deciding who will be playing in October.”
