RCN Corporation launches Chicago Land TV’s Local News Channel

RCN Corporation and Chicago Land TV (CLTV) have entered an agreement to deliver the local news channel to RCN subscribers. RCN has launched the 24-hour news channel will air on RCN’s channel 31.

Steve Farber, CLTV General Manager, said: “We are excited to bring our mix of local breaking news, weather and award-winning feature programming to additional viewers throughout the city. Chicagoans can look forward to expanded coverage of major events, including the 2010 elections.”

RCN’s SVP of Operations and Chicago General Manager Tom McKay said, “Just recently, CLTV made their channel available to RCN and we moved quickly to add this popular regional news station. We’re extremely pleased to offer our customers another news choice, one that provides specialty local programming.”
