RCN Corporation has launched a new Spanish content channel package ‘El Paqueton’ to its subscribers in Boston, Chicago, D.C., New York, and Philadelphia. El Paqueton delivers 39 Spanish channels and more than 100 English channels that include high-definition channels also.

MiVision Lite is also a new package created for people who want great Spanish-language programming but at a lower price. MiVision Lite does not contain ESPN Deportes and Gol TV.

El Paqueton offers subscribers who are interested in English and Spanish channels at low price. It contains MiVision Lite as well as over 100 English channels including HD in one package.

Richard Ramlall, RCN Senior Vice President, Strategic External Affairs & Programming, said: “El Paqueton, which means Big Package in English, is the product of choice for those customers seeking a content-rich and diversified Spanish & English channel package. We’re proud to be an industry leader in offering a customized line up of Spanish-content themed packages and by offering El Paqueton and two separate MiVision packages we provide even more choice to get the services customers need and want.

“One thing our customers have been telling us is that they want an offering, which provides a mix of English and Spanish programming. To add value, we included 16 select ‘Signature’ standard and high definition channels that includes A&E, Bravo, HGTV, TBS, SyFy, and ABC Family not offered in Time Warner’s similar offering” stated Ramlall.
