Satellite Television for the Asian Region (STAR) headquartered in Hong Kong has launched three South Asian STAR channels on Canada’s largest cable television service provider Rogers Cable. STAR will also launch three STAR Mandarin-language channels later in October.
Rogers Cable has added following STAR channels:
STAR ONE – general entertainment channel
STAR India GOLD – Bollywood movie channel
STAR India NEWS – Leading news channel
STAR VIJAY – Popular Tamil entertainment language channel
These four channels join India’s leading Hindi general entertainment channel, STAR India PLUS already launched on ATN’s services in Canada.
Following are three Mandarin-language channels
STAR CHINESE CHANNEL – general entertainment
STAR CHINESE MOVIES 2 – Chinese films and
CHANNEL [V] Taiwan – Taiwan’s trend setting music and lifestyle channel

Now Canadian audiences will have seven new 24-hour channels from which to find fresh favorites, to entertain, inform and inspire.”
