Showtime Debut Third Season ‘Inside the NFL’ On Wednesday, Sept. 8

Showtime networks weekly sports show that focuses on the National Football League ‘Inside the NFL’ returns for its third year beginning with the season debut on Wednesday, Sept, 8 at 9 p.m. ET.

‘Inside the NFL’ was originally broadcast on HBO from 1977 through 2008, HBO announced that the show would end its run on its network, and the program was later picked up by the Showtime cable network.

Showtime launched ‘Inside the NFL’ in 2008 broadcasting each NFL season, the program airs weekly beginning the first week of NFL season until the week after the Super Bowl.

‘Inside the NFL’ on Showtime principally features highlights of the past week’s games that were captured by NFL Films, in addition to commentary and analysis by the hosts, and occasional interviews with current and former NFL players and personnel.

The third year 2010 ‘Inside the NFL’ on Showtime will be hosted by James Brown along with All-Pro NFL greats Cris Collinsworth, Phil Simms and Warren Sapp serving as expert analysts with new episodes airing on Showtime every Wednesday during the NFL season through February 9, 2011.

Brown, Collinsworth, Simms and Sapp recently made predictions on what fans can expect on INSIDE THE NFL during the 2010-11 season. ‘Inside the NFL’ on Showtime is produced by CBS Sports and NFL Films. Pete Radovich serves as coordinating producer. The executive producers are Sean McManus, President, CBS News and Sports, and NFL Films President Steve Sabol.
