SIRIUS XM Radio will present more than 45 hours of live coverage of The 2010 British Open Championship from the Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland.
SIRIUS XM will deliver live coverage of 2010 British Open Championship on XM channel 146 and on SIRIUS channel 209 for subscribers with the “Best of XM” programming package.
SIRIUS XM golf fans will be offered hole-by-hole coverage of the Open Championship, provided by IMG, live from the renowned Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland as well as live updates and analysis from SIRIUS XM’s Fred Albers and Matt Adams.
SIRIUS XM’s live coverage begins on Thursday, Friday at 3:00 am ET and Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 am ET and will continue until the conclusion of each day’s play.
The Open Championship Replay on SIRIUS XM Radio will follow immediately after the on-course coverage offering wrap-up of the day’s action along with highlights, analysis, and player interviews. The show will be hosted by SIRIUS XM’s Fred Albers and Matt Adams from St. Andrews.
SIRIUS XM will start rebroadcast the day’s play-by-play after Open Championship Replay. SIRIUS XM’s rebroadcast will begin during the afternoon drive time and evening hours until live coverage begins the next morning.
SIRIUS XM’s 45 hours of live play-by-play from Thursday through Sunday plus comprehensive replays that will cover all the day’s highlights and the performances of the tournament leaders.
Fred Albers and Matt Adams will provide golf fans with daily talk and analysis of this year’s championship field. Fairways of Life with Matt Adams will air live Monday through Wednesday at 7:00-9:00 am ET, followed by Teed Off with Brian Katrek at 9:00 am – 11:00 am ET, then Making the Turn with Peter Kessler at 11:00 am- Noon ET.
PGA TOUR member Chris DiMarco and broadcaster Greg Warmoth will host a new edition of their weekly talk show ‘oPINionated’ on Tuesday evening at 5:00 pm ET. DiMarco, who competed in the Open Championships at St. Andrews in 2000 and 2005 and was the runner-up in the 2006 event at Hoylake, will share his own British Open experiences as well as his thoughts on the players competing in this year’s event. oPINionated replays several times throughout the week.
