StarKist will be the Official Partner of the Pittsburgh Penguins as both signed three year partnership deal on August 12.
Donald J. Binotto, President and CEO, StarKist Co. said “At StarKist we are committed to Pittsburgh and committed to growing our business in this great city. We have been working with the Pittsburgh Penguins since the 2008-2009 seasons, and are thrilled to make this strategic partnership official with a three-year commitment. The Pittsburgh Penguins are an outstanding organization and a tremendous asset to the Pittsburgh community – StarKist is proud to be part of this winning team.”
David Peart, Vice-President of Business Partnership said “The Penguins are excited to expand on our existing relationship with StarKist. They are a local Pittsburgh company and share in our core values of Energy, Drive, and Innovation.”
Binotto also stated that hockey fans can expect to see a lot more of StarKist and its famous spokesfish Charlie the Tuna in the new arena. StarKist-branded signage will be positioned around the new areas – from the scoreboard and dasherboards, to the LED rings and digital ad displays. In addition, StarKist will be prominent during Pittsburgh Penguin Radio Network broadcasts and the company will feature ads in Ice Time magazine and the Consol Energy Entertainment Guide.
