The Weather Channel HD Launch From The New Studio

The Weather Channel has completed the construction of its new 12,500-square-foot HD facility and the channel will be aired from the new studio, Today, June 2. The studio is designed by the same group of Company that did the ESPN HD studios.

The programming features of the new studio 10+ 65″ Sharp Commercial LCDs, LED accent lighting, 36′ wide projection screen, robotic cameras. The 5,000-square-foot studio build following the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) “Your Weather Today” and “Evening Edition” will be broadcasted in 1080-line-interlace HD from Today.

DirecTV added The Weather Channel HD on October 1 and the Channel has carriage agreement with Dish Network, Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, Cox Communications and Comcast.
