Time Warner Cable announced that it will be launching ‘TV Everywhere’ at no additional cost to 5,000 subscribers. Time Warner Cable’s TV Everywhere is similar to Comcast’s On Demand Online Trial and Verizon FiOS TV Online Trial. Time Warner Cable video package subscribers will have access to TV Everywhere Online.
Time Warner Cable is negotiating with many networks that include TBS, TNT, HBO, CBS, Syfy, BBC America, AMC, WE tv, IFC, Sundance Channel, Discovery Communications and Smithsonian Channel.
Time Warner Cable’s web properties and the networks’ websites content online will be delivered to the video subscribers through TV Everywhere trial.
“TV Everywhere is an all-around win for those of us who love television. It will give our customers more control over content and allow them greater access to programs they are already paying for, while enhancing the distributors’ and networks’ robust business model that encourages the creation of great content” said Glenn Britt, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Time Warner Cable.
