Verizon’s FiOS To deliver Big Ten Network In All Markets
Verizon Communication announced that they will carry The Big Ten Network in Standard and high-definition over the next few months in all markets. New York based operator has already added Big Ten Network HD to the Fort Wayne, Indiana market last week. Before the college season begins in August, Verizon will add Big Ten Network to many more markets. Big Ten Network is a joint venture of the Big Ten Conference, a collegiate athletic conference, and Fox Cable Networks which carries more than 400 live sporting events a year.
FiOS TV launched in September 2005, Verizon has signed up more than 1.2 million customers who enjoys hundreds of digital video and music channels, high-definition linear and on-demand programming, the nation’s largest collection of video-on-demand content, a robust interactive media guide, and other advanced features. Big Ten Network with more than 36 million subscribers along with Verizon to launch new video-on-demand and broadband content ventures together within the coming year, which will be announced later.
