Verizon Adds 77 New Channels To FiOS TV Lineup for Customers in Florida
Verizon has launched 77 new channels to its FiOS TV programming line-up in Florida on Oct. 7. This includes 57 additional high-definition channels in this area and Florida FiOS TV customers now have more than 700 high-definition choices available every month. Verizon has claimed that they offer 88 HD channels and more than 700 HD video-on-demand (VOD) titles offered each month. Telco now offers more than HD channels than Bright House or Comcast offers. FiOS TV subscribers in Florida now receive HD channels that include:

TLC
Science Channel
Smithsonian Channel
CNN
CNBC
Lifetime
Bravo
TBS
History Channel
Weather Channel
USA and
SCI FI
Apart from these HD channels, FiOS TV’s Movie Package brings 13 HBO channels, 11 Cinemax channels, 13 from The Movie Channel, Starz and Showtime, including The Movie Channel Xtra, Starz Edge, Starz Comedy, Starz Kids and Family, Showtime, Showtime Showcase, Showtime Extreme and Showtime 2.
Verizon sport fans are blessed with seven new HD channels which includes Big Ten Network in HD, Tennis Channel HD, NHL HD and Versus/Golf Channel. Other Sports channels include Outdoor Channel 2, Mav TV and ESPNU HD.
Michelle A. Robinson, president of Verizon’s Southeast region said “FiOS TV is the only service to consider if you want the ultimate HD experience, With our increased number of HD channels, along with HD video-on-demand programming and our current HD DVR and premium movie promotion, we’re blowing cable away.”
