Verizon Delivers 100 HD Channels in Three More New York Communities

Verizon has announced the launch of FiOS TV in three more New York communities to expand its service. Verizon has got approval to provide FiOS TV through fiber-optic network straight to subscribers’ homes in the Town of Fishkill and the City of Poughkeepsie in Dutchess County and The village of Port Washington North in Nassau County.

Verizon has launched FiOS TV service with more than 100 high-definition channels, 8,500 video-on-demand (VOD) free titles. Following are the high-definition channels added:

Fox News Channel HD

Andres Irlando, Verizon senior vice president for the New York region said “Consumers in Port Washington North, Fishkill and Poughkeepsie will be able to choose their cable provider as easily as they choose their phone company. Competition like this drives innovation and value and puts the consumer in control, and we will compete aggressively for customers in these areas.”
