Verizon Communications has announced the launch of KODAK Gallery Widget to its FiOS TV subscribers. The new KODAK Gallery Widget will allow FiOS TV subscribers registered KODAK Gallery users instant on-screen access to photos and slideshows they have stored on Kodak’s online digital photo service.
Verizon FiOS TV subscribers can access by clicking on the KODAK Gallery icon and use an onscreen keyboard to enter their Kodak username and password to log into the service. As with Verizon’s other widgets, subscribers can enter a four-digit personal identification number to bypass the username and password login.
Shawn Strickland, vice president, marketing for Verizon Telecom, said: “Bringing your personal photos to life on your home-entertainment system takes your enjoyment to a much higher level. Every background and every person becomes larger than life. Plus, sharing photos with others becomes much more fun in the comfort of your family room. Our latest widget makes it easy to reach out and enjoy your KODAK Gallery photos on the biggest screen in your home – the TV. It’s another interactive feature from Verizon that cable can’t deliver.”
Victor Cho, vice president and general manager of Internet and software services, Eastman Kodak Co., said: “Whether it’s flipping through a photo book, presenting a photo gift to a friend or family member, or watching your pictures on TV with the new FiOS TV KODAK Gallery Widget, Kodak offers many easy ways for Gallery members to share and enjoy their pictures. KODAK Gallery is one of the only online photo sites to store images in their original high-resolution format, and through this partnership we are able to bring these bold, beautiful high-resolution color photos straight into your living room.”
