Verizon Launches The Comcast Network On FiOS TV in Philadelphia Area

Verizon Communications has launched the Comcast Network on Channel 99 to its FiOS TV subscribers in the Philadelphia region, the Harrisburg area, and parts of southern New Jersey and Delaware.

The Comcast Network offers local public affairs and community interest programming as well as selected Phillies, Flyers and 76ers games. Verizon’s FiOS TV already offers Comcast SportsNet in standard and high-definition on sports package and now The Comcast Network also joins the lineup.

Verizon’s FiOS TV customers in the region will now have access to even more professional sports action with live games and replays from the Phillies, 76ers and Flyers on the Comcast Network. The channel also features live college games from a variety of conferences, including CAA and Ivy League basketball and college lacrosse. In addition, the channel offers local news and public affairs programming featuring well-known TV personalities from the region, such as Art Fennell, Larry Kane and Lynn Doyle.

Mary Yarborough, vice president of marketing for the Philadelphia region, said “Our goal has always been to provide our customers with the best in national and regional programming. Philly has really embraced FiOS, and we expect this newest addition to our lineup will help customers get into the game from the comfort of their home.”
