Verizon Plans to deliver 60 New Channels including 25 in HD

Verizon FiOS TV has announced that they are planning to add more than 60 new channels to the lineup. Verizon is to deliver 25 high-definition channels, Sports programming and multicultural content channels. This is according to the Thursday press release from Verizon FiOS TV.

Verizon is also planning to deliver 150 HD channels before the year end with major HD programming available for the subscribers and also Verizon HD choices will include hundreds of video-on-demand (VOD) titles per month, with 1,000 HD VOD titles by the year end.

Verizon HD expansion will start from July and will deliver about 25 high-definition channels, depending up on the customers location, the HD channel available will be between 52 and 65. Verizon FiOS TV will deliver

Science Channel

Smithsonian Channel and

TLC

Subscriber’s who sign-up for the Movie Package will receive more than 40 channels from :

Showtime

Starz

The Movie Channel

Encore

Sundance Channel and

IFC

Apart from this, customers will receive hundreds of free movies on VOD and also will see a total of five new HD channels from Starz and Showtime. Verizon FiOS TV planning to deliver more sports programming on the lineup as they will be adding more Sports packages like :

Setanta Sports

MLB Extra Innings

NBA League Pass and

NHL Center Ice

Verizon will also launch International programming and add approximately 15 multicultural channels to the FiOS TV lineup, including leading channels from Arabic, Portuguese and Russian programming.
