Verizon To Broadcast ‘NFL Network Game Extra’ This Weekend

Verizon is the only Internet service provider to deliver NFL Network programming over broadband will treat its video and wireline broadband subscribers with NFL Network Game Extra this weekend as NFL Network kicks off its coverage of NFL preseason games.

The agreement between Verizon and NFL Network made it possible for Verizon to present its video and wireline broadband subscribers with a online broadcasts of NFL Network preseason and Thursday Night Football games, which will be selected from among multiple camera feeds. The features available for Verizon Broadband and TV Customers are :

Highlights

Game Statistics

Drive-chart simulations during the games

On-demand video highlights of the games; and special events

Live online chats with other NFL Network Game Extra viewers during the live games.

The online video highlights of college bowl games and college all-star games including the Insight Bowl, Texas Bowl and Senior Bowl are available for Verizon subscribers. Game Extra viewers of Verizon will enjoy live, online broadcasts of two preseason and eight regular-season, primetime Thursday Night Football games, beginning with the matchup between the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday, Aug. 17. This service is available to Verizon FiOS or Verizon High Speed Internet service subscribers and either Verizon FiOS TV or DIRECTV through Verizon.
