Verizon Communications has announced that it offers NFL RedZone “freeview” in high definition on channel 835 and in standard definition on channel 335 to FiOS TV Subscribers on Oct. 4 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET.
Verizon launched NFL Network produced NFL RedZone channel on Sep. 13 and also RedZone Widget delivering NFL league’s regular season coverage of critical plays when any team is inside its opponent’s 20-yard line beginning at 1 p.m. ET live.
NFL RedZone Widget offers FiOS TV subscribers with one stop for easy access to NFL stats and the NFL RedZone channel and can use a unique feature of Verizon’s widget to set on-screen alerts for whenever a team is moving inside its opponent’s 20-yard line.
Terry Denson, vice president of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon, said: “FiOS TV is the only place to experience the combination of NFL RedZone in HD, a special NFL RedZone alert feature, an exclusive news and stats widget, and stunning picture-and-sound quality that’s second only to being on the field. Subscriber enthusiasm for NFL RedZone is off the charts. The upcoming freeview will give those who haven’t yet subscribed a taste of the game-day excitement they’ve been missing.”
